Blue Sky Project, Inc. Partners with Second Avenue Software for Songs of Freedom Web Site Design
ROCHESTER, NY - Rochester-area not-for-profit, Blue Sky Project, is using interactive media to repackage and then unpack American history for elementary age students in Songs of Freedom.
An interdisciplinary learning experience which shares the history of the Underground Railroad, Songs of Freedom is being produced and directed by David B. Marshall. Songs of Freedom embraces the most rigorous scholarship available to bring students critical information about this important part of our nation’s history. The story is told in a powerful and empowering way from the perspective of a young girl named Imani.
Second Avenue Software, a Pittsford-based software development company specializing in interactive software and media production, has been selected as the web site designer and programming partner provider for Songs of Freedom. Christine Christopher, Managing Producer for the project, explained, “Second Avenue’s commitment to educational projects is forward-looking and complements the entire spirit of Songs of Freedom.”
