Job Description:

Second Avenue Software, Inc. is seeking a software developer with Flash programming skills to create educational and training applications for websites and CD-ROMs.

The developer will work from design documents, such as storyboards and manuscripts, to create applications using Adobe Flash. The developer will collaborate with 3D artists and integrate 3D content into their applications, and also work with subject matter experts in order to ensure the technical accuracy of the application.

The Flash developer may also be required to integrate Shockwave files into larger web-based applications.

Required Skills:

Advanced Adobe Flash skills, especially Object Oriented Programming and ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0
Able to use Components in ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0
Skilled at writing XML code for use with Flash
Able to manipulate images and animation in Adobe Photoshop
Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS
Working knowledge of JavaScript
Able to work quickly, accurately and within deadlines
Team player, responsive to QA/client feedback
Strong communication skills
Able to multi-task and solve problems
English speaker

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL preferred)
Experience with Maya

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
